Description

There is one controller connected with n(n:1-10, depends on the model) metal sensors. The metal sensor can detect any metal objects close to it. When players put metal object close to the sensor in the right sequence or simultaneous, the props will be triggered and the door lock will be opened. How to connect 12V electromagnetic lock 1. The red wire of the electromagnetic lock should connect to NC port of the controller. The black wire of the electromagnetic lock should be connected to COM port of the controller. 2. The props just support 12V electromagnetic lock, if the voltage exceeds 12V, it will not work properly. Tips: Props do NOT include EMlocks. Play Simultaneous mode: Player need to place the metal objects close to all sensors at one certain point of time, the props will be triggered and the door lock will be opened. Sequence mode: Player need to close the metal object to the sensors in the correct order, then the props will be triggered and the door lock will be opened. Modify the playing mode There is a settings switch(next to the power port) to set up the playing mode, please switch the 1# settings switch to modify the playing mode. Sequence mode: 1# up Simultaneous mode: 1# down Notice: Please modify the playing mode when the controller is turned off Modify the trigger sequence in sequence mode 1. Power off the controller. 2. Modify the playing mode to sequence mode. 3. Keep holding the setting button (Next to the power port) and power on the controller. When you hear the voice prompt, you can release the button. 4. Listen to the voice prompt and wait for the voice prompt to end 5. Put the metal object one by one close to the sensor with order you want to set. Each sensor could be sensed multiple times. 6. Press the setting button again to save the sequence. 7. Re-power the props to test.

Used this for an escape room party and we know nothing about electronics so it took a little trial and error but we did make it work. We were able to add our own sound effects as well. I give it 4 stars because it does not come with the lock itself and because I wish the cords were longer and the sensors a more neutral color instead of orange. We did not install the lock on anything but did use it to hold back extra length of string to make a small chandelier fall for our phantom of the opera theme. It took some trial and error because the lock won’t work with something between the pieces, even a thin piece of string, so that was frustrating but we did manage to rig it up so something caught against the locked magnet and became free when it opened, releasing the extra length for the chandelier. It was a wow moment for the finale of the escape room but did take some work and planning for placement of sensors and the apparatus with the cords being rather short so keep that in mind.
