This Mini handheld really surprised me in how well it performed. Resembling the now classic Game Boy in ore than a few ways I was immediately taken aback at just how bright and vibrant the screen was upon turning it on. Users are immediately met with a language screen which allows them to choose between a few language options. Upon selecting the language of choice, the device immediately boots into the games list. Scrolling is responsive and quick though games appear organized haphazardly and in no apparent order. Games do tend to repeat at time though with 666 games included, even with repeats you'll find plenty to play.Controls were tight and responsive. For whatever reason the device includes 4 face buttons though as these are NES games, the additional 2 buttons do nothing but get in the way. That said, despite the device feeling incredibly light (and a bit cheap) the fit and finish is excellent and the controls felt incredibly accurate. The D-pad has a nice feel and the face buttons have a nice clicky nature that makes pressing them feel satisfying.The Device includes a rechargable battery which the user will install upon first opening the package, and a standard RCA cable to hook up to legacy televisions with such inputs. That function was not checked for this review, nor could I imagine using the device in such a manner on a tv, however the option is there if you desire.At $20 this is simply a no brainer. If you have young kids that aren't quite ready for a switch or other handheld device or are interested in some classic gaming at a bargain basement price, this device is perfect. It's cheap enough that if you break it you won't feel bad, but of high enough quality that playing it was a joy. I've honestly considered buying several more to use as gifts for some of my kids friends.If you are looking for a cheap handheld which you can throw in a bag and bust out during trips or waiting room visits... these is an awesome option and comes very highly recommended.
